Jenny Egan, Office Manager

Jenny joined St. James's Place in 2009 and subsequently joined The Pentelow Practice team in 2011.

Originally joining the team to administer group schemes, co-ordinate Practice events/seminars and support all aspects of the company accounts, Jenny was appointed to the role of PA to Rob Pentelow in 2014. Whilst still involved with that team, she has since moved onto the role of Office Manager in 2017. In her new expanded role she works to make sure that The Pentelow Practice runs effectively and efficiently on a day-to-day basis.

Jenny has previously enjoyed a life as a Personal Trainer and Sports Therapist before choosing her new career in wealth management. She adds tremendous value to the Practice as a whole with a wide remit of responsibility, and is currently working towards further financial qualifications to continuously enhance her skill set.



Ian Towers, Paraplanner

Ian joined The Pentelow Practice in November 2016 as part of our busy Paraplanner office, working alongside Michael and Balina in the role.

In his current position he supports and assists each of the partners with researching their bespoke technical solutions that meet individual and collective client’s financial needs. His role involves report writing, analytical reviews, investment analysis and providing supporting evidence for consideration by clients.

A keen traveller, Ian has moved to - and back from - Australia, ultimately settling for the warmer climate in Yorkshire. He enjoys spending his spare time with his family.



Graham Knott, Paraplanner

Graham joined the Pentelow Practice in November 2017 as part of our expanding paraplanner team.

His role is to assist each of the partners in researching technical solutions, tailored to meet each client’s unique needs. His daily tasks include report writing, analytical reviews, data gathering and corresponding with clients and product providers.

Graham is a keen outdoorsman who enjoys most sports, particularly cricket which he plays to a high level.



Stephanie Flint, Paraplanner

Stephanie joined the company in November 2012 after recently moving up to Leeds from Nottingham. Stephanie brings five years of experience from the retail banking industry and provides excellent customer service whether over the telephone or on a face-to-face basis.

Having started as a part-time Practice Administrator, Stephanie moved up to a role as full-time PA support before graduating in 2016 to her current role as a Paraplanner. With the arrival of her son in early 2016, she works remotely in Nottingham in order to support the Paraplanning team.

She is also working towards starting her financial qualifications to support her forward progression within the Practice.



Lucy Westerman, Paraplanner

Lucy joined The Pentelow Practice in March 2018 and brings five years of experience to her role as a Specialist Paraplanner.

She provides dedicated paraplanning support to the Practice. Her role involves researching bespoke technical solutions to meet client needs and objectives, and preparing client suitability reports and presentations. She is currently working towards her Diploma in Financial Planning.

Outside of the office Lucy is a keen baker and avid reader, and has travelled all over the world, having recently visited Mexico, Dubai, and Greece.



Debra Gilsenan, Private Client Support & PA to Alan Pentelow

Debra joined St. James’s Place in 1999 before becoming a part of the Pentelow Practice team in 2002 and now has over 30 years of financial services experience behind her.

In her current role she provides PA support to Alan, has an eye for detail and a passion for excellent customer service. Her role involves client preparation, writing suitability letters, submitting daily business and providing specialised document production for clients and Partners.

Debra is an extremely valued member of the team who enjoys spending time with her family and socialising. She has completed the Chartered Insurance Institute’s Financial Planning Certificate and Mortgage Advice Qualification whilst working with us and continues to study towards further qualifications.



Lauren Dickson, Private Client Support & PA to Alan Pentelow

Lauren joined St. James’s Place in October 2016, and The Pentelow Practice in November 2017. Lauren’s role involves client preparation, letter writing, record management and providing documentation to clients and Partners.

Lauren enjoys exploring new places and travelling, drawing and painting. She also took a Russian evening class last year at Beckett University, but is currently focusing on getting settled in her job and potentially starting further financial and internal qualifications.

She spends her spare time visiting her family in Cumbria, going to see friends around the country and exploring Leeds as much as possible.



Sharon Salmon, Private Client Support to Emma Pentelow

Sharon joined the team in February 2015 with over 9 years financial services experience as a Financial Administrator.

In her current role she provides PA support to Emma and utilises her wealth of experience to provide a high level of service for all of Emma’s clients. Based at our Broughton Hall location in Skipton, Sharon’s role involves client preparation, writing suitability letters, submitting daily business and providing specialised document production for clients and Partners.

Sharon enjoys time with her family and training for various personal challenges. She brings a fresh approach to the role of the PA having worked outside of St. James’s Place and is currently working towards further financial qualifications to help improve her knowledge and our clients experience with the Practice.



Rachel Lowther, Dedicated Business Support Specialist

Rachel joined the team in February 2016 with over 10 years financial services experience in different positions

Based across both our Broughton Hall location in Skipton and our office in Leeds, Rachel’s role involves handling corporate schemes and ensuring that projects such as pension increases, group protection renewals and tri-annual auto enrolment re-enrolments are handled in both a professional and timely way.

Rachel is an avid fell runner captaining her local running club and testing her metal on a weekly basis. She is also currently working towards further financial qualifications to improve her knowledge and our clients’ experience.



Amita Buttoo, Private Client Support to Rob Pentelow

Amita joined The Pentelow Practice in August 2016, where she works in the role as Private Client Support to Rob Pentelow.

Amita's role, based in our Leeds office, involves client preparation, writing suitability letters, submitting daily business and providing specialised document production for clients and Partners.

When not in the office, Amita enjoys spending time with her family, and visiting friends across the country.



Katrina Ross, Private Client Support to Balina Dhesi

Katrina joined the team in April 2018 as Private Client Support to Balina Dhesi, and has fourteen years’ experience in financial services, specialising in mortgage planning.

Her role involves client preparation, writing suitability letters, submitting daily business and providing specialised document production for clients and Partners. She is working toward achieving her certification for financial planning.

Katrina enjoys travel, and has visited countries through the EU. She likes to spend her spare time exploring, and going on walks through the countryside.



Andy Taylor, Marketing Consultant

With over 15 years of experience in the marketing world, and eight of those spent supplying bespoke marketing services to The Pentelow Practice, Andy Taylor joined our team in Leeds as marketing consultant in 2018.

He started his own agency, Outsmart, in 2010, working with a range of clients both nationally and internationally. He brings both client and agency experience to the team, and his role involves event organisation and management as well as marketing and promotional duties for the Practice.

Andy is a family man, and a keen fan of sports of all kind - but especially football!



Stephen Morris, Practice Administrator

Stephen joined the team in September 2015 as Practice Administrator coming from previous roles in the Mid Yorkshire Hospitals NHS trust.

In his current role he provides full-time administrative support to the Practice, working in a range of roles and with all four of our partners. With a background in press and marketing, Stephen also coordinates online and print content and copy for the Pentelow Practice, and works alongside Andy on marketing content.

Stephen completed a masters in English Literature at Leeds University and boasts a number of published articles for Publishers Weekly & MTV to name but two. He is currently working towards internal financial accreditations at St. James's Place.



Christine Pentelow, Events Organiser/Accounts – An Avid Supporter

Christine has been involved in the business since day one running the accounts, as well as taking charge of planning and overseeing Corporate Events. A huge support to the Pentelow Family, Christine’s multi-tasking is widely recognised and her ability to work under pressure greatly treasured.

Passionate about the development of the Practice, Christine supports the team with dedication and enthusiasm.
